What RF coordination is
Every wireless microphone, IEM pack, comms beltpack and camera link on your show is a transmitter competing for the same slice of spectrum, on top of whatever the local TV stations and the venue next door are already using. RF coordination is the work of assigning every one of those devices a frequency that does not step on another, does not land on an intermodulation product, and survives contact with the real RF environment on show day.
Done early, it is quiet. Nobody notices. Done late or not at all, it is the dropout during the acceptance speech.

Inventory and intake
We collect every wireless device on the show, confirm bands and firmware, and flag anything that will not fit before it ships.
Frequency plan
Intermod analysis, DTV guard bands, minimum spacing and headroom for walk-ups. Assignments go out to each department ahead of load-in.
Scan, deploy, monitor
We walk the room, scan, adjust, and program. During the show we watch the spectrum and the audio, and we catch problems before the audience does.
Handoff
A complete report with the final plan, scans, incidents and recommendations, so the next show in that room starts ahead.
When do I actually need an RF coordinator?
Any time the wireless count, the venue or the stakes get past what one operator can manage by ear. Broadcast and award shows, corporate events with large mic and IEM counts, multi-stage events, anything in a dense RF market like Las Vegas, New York or Los Angeles, and any show where a dropout is not an option. If you are asking the question, the answer is usually yes.
How far in advance should we book?
For broadcast and large corporate shows, four to eight weeks out lets us advance the wireless inventory, pull the DTV and spectrum picture for the market, and hand out assignments before gear is even racked. We also take calls the week of the show. It is harder, but we do it regularly.
What do you need from us to start?
A wireless inventory (make, model, band and quantity for every mic, IEM, comms and camera link, including guest and vendor gear), the venue and dates, a stage plot or site plan, and a contact for each department that carries wireless. We send a simple intake sheet.
Do you travel, or is this Las Vegas only?
We are based in Las Vegas and coordinate shows across the United States. Festivals, arena tours, broadcast remotes and residencies. Travel is part of the job.
What do we get at the end?

Can you monitor RF during the show, not just plan it?
Yes. On-site we run real-time spectrum monitoring and per-channel audio QC with our own RF QC software, and for large or multi-room deployments we deploy the Freq Show sensor fleet, which alerts us the moment an uncoordinated carrier shows up and tells us which room it is in.
